: fstab 구성 요소중 dump가 무엇인지 정말 궁금합니다.

man fstab 의 결과는 다음과 같습니다.
        The  fifth field, (fs_freq), is used for these filesystems
       by the dump(8) command to determine which filesystems need
       to  be dumped.  If the fifth field is not present, a value
       of zero is returned and dump will assume that the filesys-
       tem does not need to be dumped.
 Backup 받을때 dump를 받아야 하는지를 결정하는데
사용하는 필드인듯..
/proc 같이 dump할 필요가 없는 파일 시스템들도 있거든요..
머 플로피나 cdrom도 마찬가지 겠지만..
 제 Linux에는 dump(8)이 없군요...
 사용될 일이 거의 없을 것 같네요..--Taehyun Kim
