적수네 동네 - 질문과 답변 [ 게시물 수정 ]

저는 리눅스 초보 입니다.
얼마전 리눅스를 깔고 아파치를 쓰려고 하는데 잘 안되네요...
아시는분 좀 갈켜주세요....
 아파치 설정파일인 /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf 파일에서 설정을 했습니다.
그렇게 하니까 아파치서버가 잘 동작 하더군요
그래서 사용자에게 계정을 주고 사용자 인증을 해보려고 
 httpd.conf에서
 <Directory "/home/httpd/html">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>  
 그리고
 <Directory /home/acc74/public_html>
     AllowOverride AuthConfig
</Directory>
 물론 .htpasswd 와 .htaccess파일은 
/home/acc74/public_html에 만들었습니다.
(퍼미션도 맞게 설정했습니다)
 그리고 .htaccess의 내용

AuthType Basic
AuthName acc74
AuthUserFile /home/acc74/public_html/.htpasswd
AuthGroupfile /dev/null
 require valid-user
 =================================
 이렇게 설정하고 웹브라우저에서 http:// 도메인/~acc74라고 하면
인증창이 뜨고 
사용자 ID와 패스워드를 입력하고 확인을 누르면 
사용자의 홈페이지가 뜨지않고 아래의 에러 메시지가 나옴니다.
 Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. 
Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn&#039;t understand how to supply the credentials required.

 참고로
저는 엑셀 리눅스 6.1을 사용하는데요
배포판 CD로 설치할 때 everything으로 설치했습니다.
