우선 시스템은 다음과 같습니다..
 cpu : pentium II 266 Mhz
ram : 96 MB
hdd : 4.3 GB
os : RedHat 7.2
 제가 레드햇을 깔면서.. 아파치랑 ftp서버를 설치를 안하고 깔았거든요..
나중에 최신버전으로 설치를 할려구요.. ^^
 우선 ftp 를 설치하려고 하는데 proftpd 1.2.5rc1.tar.gz를 받았습니다.
그래서 압축을 풀고 ./configure 를 했습니다.
 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/proftpd

/usr/local/proftpd 에 설치가 되었습니다.
 /usr/local/proftpd/etc/proftpd.conf 파일을 수정했습니다.
 그리고는 
/usr/local/proftpd/sbin/proftpd 를 실행했습니다.(proftpd start도 물론 해봤습니다.)
이상하게 데몬이 안뜹니다.
 그래서 이번에는 rpm 설치를 시도했습니다.
http://proftpd.oops.org/ 에서 rpm 으로 패키징된 것을 다운 받고 설치를 했습니다.
 rpm -iv proftpd-1.2.5rc1-1kr.i686.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2.3)   is needed by proftpd-1.2.5rc1-1kr
 흑흑... 혹시 소스 설치가 안되는 이유가 glibc 때문인가요?
저의 glibc 버전은 2.2.2 입니다...--이 곳에 서명을 적어주십시오.
