: 보안을 위해, plain text 로 패스워드가 날아다니는 : telnet 과 ftp 대신 ssh 를 사용하더라도.. : 메일서버에서의 메일 확인은 보호받지 못하죠. : 그래서 pop3 와 imap 에 ssl 을 붙일 생각을 하게 되었습니다. fetchmail을 쓰면 ssh로 pop이나 imap메일을 받을 수 있습니다. fetchmail 매뉴얼 페이지에 잘 나와 있고요.. .fetchmailrc에  poll daemon.kr.freebsd.org with proto IMAP via localhost port 8110:   user "cjh" there with password "merong" is cjh here fetchall options pass8bits   preconnect "ssh -x -f -L 8110:daemon.kr.freebsd.org:143 daemon.kr.freebsd.org sleep 20 </dev/null >/dev/null" 이렇게 하면 보통 pop/imap 서비스도 암호화해서 받을 수 있습니다.--Former JUNKER.
