Netscape 6.2 is based on the Mozilla 0.94 build. Though most of the changes in 6.2 appear to be related to bugs and performance, BrowserWatch readers have noted that a few new features are included: MAPI support in the Netscape mail client, the new ability to drag bookmarks from the toolbelt menu, and an improved implementation of Quick Launch, which allows parts of Netscape 6.2 to be loaded at boot time, leading to a faster load time when you want to use it. You can download Netscape 6.2 from the Netscape Web site. Netscape 6.2 includes Netscape Navigator, Netscape Mail, Netscape Instant Messenger, Netscape Composer, and Netscape Address Book. There are also a number of third-party applications bundled with Netscape 6.2, including Java for running web applets, Nullsoft Winamp for audio playback, RealPlayer8 for streaming media, Marcromedia Flash for high impact web content, Net2Phone for free PC-to-phone calls, and Print Plus from Hewlett Packard. Supported platforms for Netscape 6.2 include Windows, Linux, and Macintosh.
