자신의 VGA카드가 인텔740칩셋을 쓴 경우, XBF_i740 X 서버로 해도 잘 안된 분은 아래를 참고하세요.. 업데이트된 X-서버가 나왔습니다. 이름이:XFCom-i740-glibc-1_1_0-1_i386.rpmxf86config-glibc-1_1_0_i386.tgz 입니다. General Information Precision Insight produces software products which can be downloaded from the ftp sites listed on this page. XBF and XFCom X Servers These X servers are designed to support graphics hardware that is not yet supported by the industry standard XFree86 X Server. Please DO NOT contact XFree86 to get technical support for any of these products. PLEASE CHECK THIS FAQ BEFORE SENDING SUPPORT EMAIL First line technical support is available via email from the following addresses: Send email to XBF_support@redhat.com for technical support of the XBF X Servers. Send email to XFCom_support@redhat.com for technical support of the XFCom X Servers. The goal is to make sure that any new graphics board can be run with full acceleration and board features with any Linux distribution as soon as the board is released to the public by the manufacturer. Once these X Servers are released by XFree86, they will be removed from the XBF/XFCom X server program. There are two types of X servers being produced, X Binary Free (XBF), and XFree86 Compliant (XFCom) X servers. The X servers are packaged in .rpm and .tar formats, and compiled for glibc and libc5 to support most popular Linux distributions. Both types of X servers can be freely downloaded from several ftp sites. Neither of these X Servers is supported by XFree86, all support questions or comments should be directed to the support email address found in the README file associated with each X Server. It is important to read and agree to all of the licensing terms, exclusions, and restrictions that accompany these X Servers before you attempt to use them with your computer system. XBF X Servers XBF X Servers are fully accelerated, fully featured X Servers which are released in binary only format; no source code is released with these X Servers. Red Hat Inc. has funded the development of all of the XBF X Servers produced by Precision Insight. A special email address has been established to offer direct technical support for XBF X Servers. These X Servers are built to support graphics hardware whose manufacturer will not as yet permit the release of the driver source code. Experience has shown us that once a hardware manufacturer sees the positive response they receive from the Linux community when support for their hardware is available, they will ultimately agree to allow the release of the driver source code. As soon as a hardware manufacturer agrees to allow the release of the source code, the X Server will be renamed as an "XFcom" X Server, and will remain there until XFree86 releases the X Server will full source code on their standard distribution. XFCom X Servers XFCom X servers are also released in binary only format with no source code. These X Servers have been released with full source code to the internal XFree86 development group, and are scheduled to be released as standard X Servers on the next regular release of XFree86. Some of these X Servers may be in BETA stage, while others may have been fully tested and verified under specific hardware. The documentation which is included with each X Server will explain the details for specific cases. A special email address has been established to offer direct technical support for XFCom X Servers.
