다 아시는 것이겠지만 
좀 헤매던 것이라서 올려 놓을 라구요.
 레드햇7.1을 설치하고 나면 센드메일을 설치하여도 메일을 보내는 것만 
되지 받을 수 있는 것은 설정되지 않습니다.
 클라이언트로서만 작동하게 되어있더군요.
 파이어월이란 거에서 한참을 헤매다가 sendmail.org/faq에서 답을 얻었습니다.
역시 그쪽으로 빨리 찾아보는 것이 좋았을 것을

5.3.3 -- Why can&#039;t I receive mail with Red Hat 7.1?

Red Hat changed the way that sendmail is run. They decided that most people need a client-only version of sendmail. So it is listening only on the localhost interface. Check the RH documentation on how to change that: 
 Make sure that you have installed the "sendmail-cf" package on your system -- it should be on your install media. 
 Then check the file "sendmail.mc" (probably in "/etc/mail"). Look for the string "DAEMON_OPTIONS" and for the comment lines near that string. 
   말하자면 센드메일이 7.1에서부터는 서버버전으로 깔리는 것이 옵션이 된 겁니다. 
그래서리.. 레드햇7.1을 설치하면 메일을 보내는 용도로만 센드메일이 사용될수
있는 형태가 된 거고 받을 수 있는 데몬자체는 작동하지 않도록 되어있네요.. 
하여, /etc/mail/sendmail.mc파일에서 DAEMON_OPTIONS를
커맨트 처리한후에 m4를 이용하여 센드메일 cf를 다시 만들어야 합니다.
 
다른거 손대는거는 헛짓입니다.
 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc파일에 m4를 이용하여 sendmail.cf를 만드는 법이 나와 있습니다.
 저처럼 헤매시는 분들은 없겠지만 혹시나 해서 올려둡니다.
