답은 아니구요...
98년 말 개발을 시작한 WINE(windows emalator의 약자같은데...^^)이란 프로그램이 있었는것으로 알고 있습니다.  저도 확실히 어떤 프로그램인지는 잘은 모르겠구요..  지금도 가끔 질문이 올라오는 것을 보니까. 지금쯤은 분명히 완성버젼이 나와 쓰이고 있을 것입니다.  
 그리고 아래 해석에 관하여 약간 잘못하신건...  결과적으로 만약 모듈 컴파일이 성공하더라도, 모듈을 러닝커널에 로드시키지말라는 말입니다.  할줄아는게 영어뿐이니....  해결책은 아니지만 약간이나마 도움 되셨길 바랍니다.
 추가) 다시 수정합니다..  vmware tech site가니까 이런 글이 있더군요.  원문을 그냥 추가합니다.  및에 몇자 적어볼테니 그냥 참조하셔도..  그리고 url은

    Q: Why does vmware-config.pl report "There is probably a light difference of kernel configuration between the set of C header files you specified and your running kernel"?
 A: This error message is displayed when the configuration program successfully builds custom GSX Server modules but they are incompatible with your running kernel. This happens when there is a mismatch between your running kernel and the directory of header files. Some distribution vendors ship a directory of header files that exhibits this problem. We encourage them to fix it. In the meantime, please consider recompiling your Linux kernel. This is the only way to ensure that the directory of header files will match your Linux kernel exactly.
 한마디로 요약하면 linux kernel을 다시 compile하라는군요.  이방법이 가장 정확하게 header file 디렉토리랑 linux kernel 디렉토리랑 맞는 유일한 방법이라는군요...
