이것은  X configuration 설정이 바르지 않기 때문입니다.
보통 초기에 설치를 하고 정상적으로 사용을 했다 하더라도
이후에 X를 다시 들어갈려고 하면 오류가 날 수 있습니다.
 대게가 vgi 설정 및 폰트 설정이 바르지 않기 때문입니다.
 setup명령으로 X configuration   다시 설정을 해보시고
계속되는 오류가 발생을 한다면 수동으로 직접 환경을 설정해 주어야 합니다.
검색창에서 폰트 부분을 검색하시면 관련된 해답을 얻을 수있습니다.
 저도 아는것이 없어서 별로 도움이 되지 못했습니다...
