말씀하신대로 수정하고 inetd, named 리스타트 해봤는데요..
 그래도 아직 마찬가지군요..

 서버네임이나 호스트를 못찾는다는 소리만 자꾸 나옵니다.
혹시 /etc/hosts 말고 또 어디 다른곳을 손봐야 하는건가요?
