 ServerType을 inetd로 하기 위해서는 httpd.conf를 수정하고 이에
대한 사항을 xinetd.conf파일에 등록한후 apache를 멈추고 xinetd를
restart하면 apache는 inetd모드로 실행 된다고 문서에서 봤습니다.
 다음은 /etc/xinetd.d/http( 임의로 작성한 설정 파일) 입니다.
 service http
{
        disable         = no
        socket_type     = stream
        protocol        = tcp
        wait            = no
        user            = nobody
        server          = /home/apache/bin/httpd
        nice            = 5
        log_on_sucess   -= HOST PID
}
 위와  같이 한후 /etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart 하면
..........................
 xinetd 를 정지함:                         [  확인  ]
xinetd (을)를 시작합니다:                 [  확인  ]
 ............................
 이상 없이 실행은 됩니다.
 그런데 apache만 실행이 안되네요.... -_-;;;
 이유가 뭘가요....??

standalone 모드 지시자와 내용 모두 주석 처리도 해봤습니다.
PidFile, ScoreBoardFile, KeepAlive, MaxKeepAliveRequests,
 KeepAliveTimeout,MinSpareServers, MaxSpareServers, StartServers,
 MaxClients,MaxRequestsPerChild, Port, User Group
그래도... 아무 소식 없음... ㅠㅠ
