  저는 쉬운 해석을 하죠.
  우선 KDE3.0은 KDE2.2.2 등과 같이 깔립니다. KDE2.2.2등의 프로그램을
 KDE3.0이 완전히 담고 있지 못하기 때문입니다.
  KDE3.0은 /opt/kde30에 설치됩니다.
  1. 우선 패키지를
  ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake   에서 다운 받으세요.
  2. 한글이 나오게 하려면
  from http://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake/noarch/   에서 ko가 들어가 있는 rpm을 다운 받습니
다. 1개 있어요.   3. 8.0, 8.1 사용자들은 non-KDE-specific 패키지를 깔아야한다는군요.

   하면 설치됩니다.
  5. 바로 KDE3.0이 뜨는 건 아니구요, 로그아웃 했다가 다시 들어오시면

 How to install KDE 3.0 packages for Mandrake Linux 8.0/8.1/8.2/Cooker?
 
KDE 3.0 was released on April 2nd 2002. MandrakeSoft has made KDE 3.0
packages available on the KDE FTP server (ftp.kde.org and mirrors) for
 Mandrake-Linux versions 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2.
 Those packages are meant to be installed in parallel with KDE 2.2.2,
which makes it possible to use KDE 2.2.2 applications that haven't been
 ported to KDE 3.0 yet. For this reason, the KDE 3 packages install
themselves into /opt/kde3
 To install those packages please follow the steps below:
  1. Download the packages from
   ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake    (replacing ftp:// by http:// will automatically redirect to a
   mirror). Select the sub-directory matching your Mandrake-Linux
   distribution: 8.0, 8.1 or 8.2.
2. Download the packages for the languages you need,
   from http://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake/noarch/  3. Users of Mandrake Linux 8.0 or 8.1 will need non-KDE
-specific    packages, which are available from one of the following directories:
 ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake/8.1/RPMS-non-kde/ ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0/Mandrake/8.0/RPMS-
no-kde/  4. Once downloaded, the packages can be installed very easily:   cd directory_where_the_packages_are
 urpmi *
 5. Log out, you are now able to start KDE 3.0 from the login manager
   (kdm).
 Be warned that KDE 3.0 might still have a few bugs, and that updates
will be made available as soon as those have been identified and
corrected.
 Known problems:
  KPersonalizer is launched at every startup. To stop it from starting
every time, edit ~/.kde3/share/config/kpersonalizerrc (while
kpersonalizer isn't running) and add those lines:
 [General]
 FirstLogin=false
  If the K menu hasn't been automatically generated during the RPM
installation, type "su" and the root password, then type "update-menus"
 KDE 2.2.2 and KDE 3.0 have conflicting menu entries for Konsole.
When Konsole is launched from kicker (the panel), kicker freezes until
 konsole is being closed. To workaround this, remove the Konsole button
 from kicker, and create manually an icon on the desktop which launches
 konsole
