안녕하세요? proftpd 에 대한 설치 질문입니다.
  설치된 운영체제 - RedHat 7.2 2 / Kernel 2.4.7
  proftpd를 설치하고 xinetd 모드로 사용하기 위해서 rootman.org을
 참고해서 설치했는데
 standalone 모드는 잘 되는데 inetd 모드는 작동하질 않습니다.
  proftpd 를 실행시키면
 (Running from command line?  Use `ServerType standalone' in config file
 란 오류메세지만 나올 뿐입니다.
  /etc/xinetd.d 이곳에 ftp 란 파일도 만들었구요. restart 도 시켜봤고
 재부팅도 몇 번 해 봤습니다.
  proftpd.conf 파일의 ServerType inetd 맞구요.
 설치는 최신 파일을 받아서
 configure --prefix=/usr/local/proftpd --enable-shadow
 make
 make install
 이렇게 설치했구요
  /etc/xinetd.d/ftp 란 파일을 만들어서 in.proftpd .. 경로도 제대로
 주었구여! rpm 버전으로 다시 설치하고 싶은 생각도 들지만..
 이유가 뭔지 꼭 알고 싶은 마음에 계속 매달리게 되네여.
  기본 배포판에서 다른 서비스 올린 것은 없구요 처음으로 ftp 부터
 올리려고 하던 참입니다.
 아차! 그리고 재부팅시 root 로 날아온 mail 내용은 다음과 같습니다.
 huss - Failed binding to 0.0.0.0, port 21 : Address already in use
 huss - Check the ServerType directive to ensure you are
        configured correctly
