where is the default 'alias setting' ?

		I want to alias ll as I want.
But the system has alias setting for ll.
I can't find where is the code that does this.
Even though I did alias in .bashrc, it does not work.
 Please let me know. Thanks.
 (I also saw /etc/bashrc... nothing.)
