대부분 드라이버는 커널과 관련이 깊습니다.
아직 직접 커널 컴파일은 안하셨기 때문에. /usr/src/linux 라는 디렉토리가 없는 것으로 보입
니다. 그렇다고 커널 컴파일이 꼭 필요한 것은 아닙니다. 대부분의 배포판은 배포당시 사
용된 커널에 맞는 헤더 파일을 모아둔 패키지를 배포판씨디나, ftp에 가지고 있습니다. 그 
패키지를 설치하시면 됩니다.  대개 이름이 “kernel-header-커널버전.확장자” 이런 식입니다
. # 절대 커널 소스가 아닙니다.  설치를 하셨다면 원하시는 디렉토리가 생성되었을 겁니다

만일 /usr/src/linux가 아니고 /usr/src/lilnux-커널버전 일경우..
# cd /usr/src; ln -s linux-커널버전 linux
)
 그렇지만.. 이번기회에 커널 소스를 가지고, 직접 커널컴파일을 해보시는 것도 좋을 듯 합
니다. (가장 확실한 방법이기도합니다.)
  그 다음.. BUILD DRIVER는.. 그대로 따라하시면 될 것같습니다. 커널 컴파일을 해보셨다면 이
해가 빠르실텐데.. 좀 걱정이 되는군요.   : STEPS TO BUILD DRIVER

:   1. Backup the Config.in and Makefile in the sound driver directory
:      (/usr/src/linux/driver/sound).
:      The Configure.help provide help when you config driver in step
:      4, please backup the original one (/usr/src/linux/Document) and
:      copy this file.
:      The cmpci is document for the driver in detail, please copy it
:      to /usr/src/linux/Document/sound so you can refer it. Backup if
:      there is already one.

:   2. Extract the tar file by 'tar xvzf cmpci-xx.tar.gz' in the above
:      directory.

:   3. Change directory to /usr/src/linux

:   4. Config cm8338 driver by 'make menuconfig', 'make config' or
:      'make xconfig' command.

:   5. Please select Sound Card (CONFIG_SOUND=m) support and CMPCI
:      driver (CONFIG_SOUND_CMPCI=m) as modules. Resident mode not tested.
:      For driver option, please refer 'DRIVER PARAMETER'

:   6. Compile the kernel if necessary.

:   7. Compile the modules by 'make modules'.

    이 다음이 문제인데..
 1,2 번까지 따라하시고,
 3번에서 레드햇부분.. 배포판이 7.* 대 이면 /etc/conf.modules 가 아니라 /etc/modules.conf입니다.
 alias sound 이러쿵
 이런 부분이 이미 있다면 수정을.. 없다면 추가를 해주세요.

  그리고 아까 적어준 alias 줄 아래에..
 아래에 있는 spdif_loop four_ch... 이런 부분을.. 필요에 따라
 options cmpci rear_out=1 ......
 이런 식으로 적어주세요.
