안되는 원인을 찾아보고 싶었으나,
 한컴의 프로그램 추가/삭제 마법사(remover)에서
mplayer패키지의 무수한 삭제/재설치를 반복한 결과,
한컴리눅스3.0배포판에 포함되어 있는 rpm이 모든 기종과는 호환되지 않는다는
제 맘대로의 결론을 내리고,
결국 공식사이트(www.mplayerhq.hu)의 소스(0.90pre10-3.2)를 컴파일 시켜서 성공했습니다.
코덱은 기존 경로에 오버라이트 시켰구요.
그래도 저한텐 레드햇8.0보다는 한컴3,0이 궁합에 맞는 것 같군요. 외양도 깔끔하고..
 하여튼 같은 방법으로 레드햇8.0에서는 실패의 연속이었고,
이 사이트 동쪽하늘님의 패키지도 마찬가지로 소용없었습니다.
 어쨌든..
 설치옵션은 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mplayer --with-gui
 실행화일은 /user/local/mplayer/bin/에 있고,
 환경경로는 아래와 같이 잡아
/user/local/mplayer/etc/codecs.conf
/user/local/mplayer/etc/mplayer.conf(소스의 etc디렉코리에서 카피 & 알맞게 수정)
/user/local/mplayer/share/font/폰트디렉토리/
계정과 상관없이 일률적으로 적용시켰습니다.
 근데 PATH가 적용이 안되어 ~/.bach_profile에 포함시켰네요.
절대경로로 실행시키면 별 문제 안되지만 아무래도 불편하겠죠.
 저와 같은 문제로 고생하시는 분들 께서는,
레드햇8.0보다는 한컴리눅스3.0이 기본으로 깔리는 mplayer를 해보시고 안되면,
삭제 후 공식사이트의 소스로 컴파일 하는 방법을 참고해 보셔도
좋을 듯 싶습니다.
 암튼 이넘 때문에 무한 삽질한 것을 생각하면, 어흑~~!!
